Homemade Seafood Chowder
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 lbs of assorted fish (salmon, cod, haddock, mussels & prawns etc)
- 1/2 Pint of fish stock
- 1/2 Pint of Milk
- 2 Ozs Butter
- 2 Ozs Flour
- 1/2 lb diced potato, mushroom and onion.
Method
- 1. Cut the fish into large cubes
- 2. Steam the fish for 5 mins
- 3. Steam mussels for 2 mins (keep stock)
- 4. Gently fry potatoes mushrooms & onions in butter
- 5. Add flour and cook out for 5 mins
- 6. Add stock the milk. Simmer gently for 10 mins
- 7. Add fish, salt and pepper
- 8. Simmer gently for 10 mons. Garnish with chopped parsley.
